About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef with day-to-day preparation, catering, and menu planning
- Maintain high levels of customer service and oversee service stations
- Oversee sanitation and food safety practices for the Café and designated areas
- Manage inventory and handle supply ordering
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop daily menus, recipes, and weekly specials
- Coordinate and execute catering requirements and special events
- Train, coach, and develop the culinary team through hands-on experience
- Lead the team in the absence of exempt leadership
Requirements
- 3-5 years of previous culinary experience preferred
- ServSafe Certification required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Service, Culinary Arts, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Outlook)
- Ability to lift 30lbs
- Ability to stand for 8-hour shifts
