Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in food preparation and staff management
- Collaborate on seasonal and evolving menu concepts
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining room
- Enforce sanitation and food safety standards per regulations
- Assist in planning and executing special events
- Help with unloading, inspecting, and storing raw ingredients
Requirements
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Understanding of food handling, preparation, and cooking procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and with various personalities
- Ability to stand for long periods (8+ hours) and lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of food service or related experience
- Experience with bulk food prep in a commercial kitchen
- Valid food safety handler and sanitation certification
- High school or vocational coursework in kitchen basics
