Responsibilities

  • Oversee food production on the line to ensure meals meet standards
  • Direct and support line cooks regarding quality, consistency, and safe food handling
  • Monitor and receive departmental supplies
  • Prepare high-quality food following standardized recipes
  • Ensure timely meal service
  • Support themed meals and special events to create a home-like dining experience
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement and follow safe work practices

Requirements

  • Red Seal Chef certification
  • Food Safety Awareness Course certification
  • Recent Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) check
  • Previous cooking experience in healthcare, catering, resort, or hotel settings
