Sous Chef

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality dish preparation and smooth workflow
• Manage kitchen staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development
• Develop menus, manage budgets, and oversee procurement and inventory control
• Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP compliance
• Lead cost control initiatives through meticulous recipe preparation and process inspections
• Collaborate with interdepartmental teams such as F&B, HR, and Finance to ensure seamless operations
• Actively participate in food preparation and supervise visually appealing food displays

Requirements

• Culinary degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in 5-star hospitality (hotel, resort, or high-profile restaurant)
• At least 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a 5-star setting
• Proficiency in multiple cuisines and modern culinary techniques
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP standards
• Strong command of English (written and verbal)
• Proven leadership and motivational skills
