Sous Chef

Responsibilities

• Act as the deputy to the Head Chef and represent them when necessary
• Organize daily kitchen operations and manage staff workflows
• Create staff schedules and manage vacation planning
• Lead and supervise kitchen team members
• Manage inventory, stocktaking, and food procurement
• Develop menus and banquet cards, including cost calculations
• Ensure strict adherence to cleanliness and hygiene standards (HACCP)
• Collaborate closely with the service department to ensure smooth operations

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as a chef or equivalent qualification
• Previous experience working at the pass/announcement
• Initial leadership experience in a kitchen environment
• Business and entrepreneurial mindset
• Strong organizational talent and communication skills
• Proficiency in both German and English (written and spoken)
• Friendly and open demeanor
