Sous Chef

Responsibilities

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service
• Oversee Daily Production Sheets and review Event Orders for assigned outlets
• Train junior colleagues in culinary skills
• Develop and adhere to standardized recipes and specifications
• Minimize food waste through proper rotation, labeling, and FIFO rules
• Assist in the preparation and service of a la carte and buffet menus
• Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of work areas, utensils, and equipment
• Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation policies
• Manage employee efficiency and morale within the kitchen team

Requirements

• 5 years of supervisory kitchen experience in a similar sized property
• Proven experience as a kitchen supervisor
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Valid Food Handlers Certificate
• Ability to make informed decisions in the best interest of the hotel
