About the role
Responsibilities
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service
- Oversee Daily Production Sheets and review Event Orders for assigned outlets
- Train junior colleagues in culinary skills
- Develop and adhere to standardized recipes and specifications
- Minimize food waste through proper rotation, labeling, and FIFO rules
- Assist in the preparation and service of a la carte and buffet menus
- Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of work areas, utensils, and equipment
- Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation policies
- Manage employee efficiency and morale within the kitchen team
Requirements
- 5 years of supervisory kitchen experience in a similar sized property
- Proven experience as a kitchen supervisor
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Food Handlers Certificate
- Ability to make informed decisions in the best interest of the hotel
