Sourcing (Vendor Development) Executive

CapGrid is a technology-driven sourcing and supply chain organization focused on transforming the automotive and manufacturing ecosystem. We enable OEMs and Tier-I suppliers to streamline their sourcing processes using AI-led platforms and a deep vendor network across India.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors for mechanical components, sheet metal, plastics, and machined parts
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to achieve targets for cost, quality, and delivery
• Conduct cost analysis and negotiate commercial terms with suppliers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain
• Perform vendor audits, capacity assessments, and ensure adherence to compliance and quality standards
• Track supplier performance metrics, lead times, and quality parameters
• Support new product development (NPD) by identifying and sourcing new components
• Maintain updated records and documentation of sourcing and vendor activities

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Background in Sourcing, Vendor Development, or Supply Chain within the Automotive or Consumer Durables industry
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and cost structures
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical abilities
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and vendor management tools
• Ability to handle multiple sourcing projects within defined timelines
