Sourcing Specialist II

Responsibilities

• Accountable for sourcing materials after evaluating vendor capability, price, delivery needs, and performance
• Ensure on-time delivery of material to Rocket Lab
• Own business relationships with assigned suppliers
• Manage the RFQ process to secure competitive bids and best pricing
• Integrate with Engineering teams to meet procurement requirements and act as R&D point of contact
• Provide purchase order and delivery status to material planners
• Negotiate terms with suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements
• Maintain purchase order data within the ERP system

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Proven ability to source, onboard, and negotiate pricing with suppliers
• Knowledge of purchasing processes
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in MRP systems
• Prior experience in aerospace, automotive, or disruptive manufacturing
• Experience in rapid growth environments
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience with AS9100 and US export controls
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
