About the role
Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors for sheet metal components
- Handle the entire sourcing cycle from supplier identification to negotiation and finalization
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery aligned with project requirements
- Monitor supplier performance regarding quality, cost, and delivery
- Drive cost reduction, localization, and value engineering initiatives
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and policy compliance
- Prepare and present sourcing performance reports
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing and vendor development for sheet metal components
- Strong understanding of automotive sourcing processes and supplier management
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in Automotive OEM or Tier-1 supplier environments
