Sourcing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of sourcing strategies under the guidance of the category manager
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure adherence to quality, delivery, and cost targets
• Coordinate with suppliers for RFQs, quotations, and commercial discussions
• Support supplier evaluation, onboarding, and performance monitoring
• Contribute to cost reduction initiatives through data analysis and alternate sourcing
• Assist in negotiation preparation by gathering cost data and market benchmarking
• Monitor supplier schedules and follow up on call-offs to ensure material availability
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Production, Quality, and Logistics
• Support New Product Development (NPD) activities and sample development
• Manage administrative tasks such as engineering change requests and system updates

Requirements

• Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 2-3 years of relevant professional experience
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and hydraulics
• Proficiency in cost modeling, spend analysis, and supplier negotiations
• Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, matrix organization
