Sorting Utility

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor machine functions to ensure continuous production
• Load machines as needed and perform basic machine adjustments
• Visually monitor part quality using appropriate tests, gauges, and provided samples
• Box and palletize parts, including making labels for each part
• Perform quality control inspections to distinguish between good and bad parts
• Clean all machines between jobs and maintain a safe workspace
• Assist in other departments or areas as assigned by a supervisor
• Work overtime as required to meet production goals

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Basic mathematical understanding (addition, subtraction, and division of units of measurement)
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and labels
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat frequently
• Ability to lift 20-35 pounds regularly and occasionally 50+ pounds with assistance
