Sonographer/Obstetrics

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced ultrasound examinations and provide comprehensive assessments of fetal development and maternal health
• Collaborate with obstetricians and healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results
• Communicate findings to patients and families with clear explanations and support
• Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to quality assurance protocols
• Contribute to the training and mentorship of junior staff and sonographers
• Engage in continuous professional development and research initiatives

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent
• Experience in abdomen and pelvic scans
• Proficiency in using ultrasound machines and associated software
• HCPC registration
• Minimum of 1 year of UK experience as a sonographer in both NHS and private sectors
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
