Sonographer

Responsibilities

• Independently perform and interpret a wide range of ultrasound examinations including general, gynaecological, and musculoskeletal (MSK) scans
• Produce detailed reports offering differential diagnoses and guidance on patient management
• Provide second opinions to junior staff
• Participate in continuous professional development, audit, and research projects
• Promote and deliver high-quality ultrasound training to students, sonographers, radiographers, midwives, and registrars

Requirements

• DCR or BSc in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent
• PGDip in Medical Ultrasound or DMU equivalent
• Significant experience in general, gynaecological, and MSK ultrasound scans
• Strong understanding of ultrasound techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
