Sonographer

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations across various specialties including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and musculoskeletal imaging
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures
• Provide accurate diagnostic reports
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support comprehensive patient care
• Maintain up-to-date patient records and contribute to the continuous improvement of ultrasound services

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography or Medical Ultrasound
• Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound (PGCert, PGDip, or MSc)
• Current registration with HCPC or equivalent professional body
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Band 7 Sonographer or in a similar role
• Proficiency in a range of ultrasound techniques and specialisms
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and confidentiality
