Sonographer (OB/GYN)

Responsibilities

• Perform OB/GYN and breast ultrasound examinations, including fetal anatomy and development assessments
• Acquire high-quality diagnostic images following established protocols
• Ensure patient comfort, safety, and understanding throughout procedures
• Analyze images, identify abnormalities, and communicate findings to providers
• Maintain accurate records in EHR systems
• Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment and follow infection control protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff across multiple clinical locations

Requirements

• Associate degree or completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
• Minimum 2+ years of OB/GYN sonography experience in a high-volume clinical setting
• Active ARDMS certification
• Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between Frederick, Urbana, and Mt. Airy, MD

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of OB/GYN sonography experience
• Experience with NextGen or similar EHR systems
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Additional certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or applicable state licensure
