About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive the overall wine vision and manage wine inventory and costing
- Lead staff training in wine service, food pairings, and service excellence
- Assist guests with beverage selections and guide them through the wine program
- Collaborate with the Chef de Cuisine to create wine and food pairings
- Stay informed on industry trends and maintain supplier relationships
- Perform opening, mid, and closing manager responsibilities
Requirements
- 5 years of hospitality experience, preferably in fine dining as a sommelier
- Minimum CMS Certification or equivalent
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Strong organizational and staff management skills
- Ability to work shifts including opens, mids, closes, weekends, and holidays
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business or Hospitality
