Solutions Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide precise cost estimates for CNC machining and other manufacturing processes
• Perform DFM (Design for Manufacturability) analysis to optimize cost and lead time
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and material requirements
• Provide technical guidance for machining, finishing, and assembly needs
• Communicate directly with customers to clarify requirements and resolve design concerns
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Sourcing, and Quality teams
• Identify manufacturing risks and recommend alternative processes or materials
• Leverage platform tools to automate quoting workflows

Requirements

• 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent technical training
• Proficiency in CNC machining and 3D printing
• Strong understanding of GD&T and conventional tolerancing
• Knowledge of manufacturability and limitations of common metals and plastics
• Exposure to processes like sheet metal, urethane casting, and injection molding
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong documentation skills
