Solutions Engineer

Responsibilities

• Run technical discovery calls with Heads of Data, Data Engineering Managers, and CTOs to understand their stack and constraints.
• Design and present reference architectures showing how Hevo integrates into existing data stacks (e.g., Salesforce, Postgres, Snowflake, dbt).
• Conduct live, unscripted product demos tailored to specific customer environments.
• Own the technical evaluation process from initial conversation to deal closure by addressing deep technical questions.
• Build proofs-of-concept by configuring real pipelines from various source systems into destinations like Snowflake or BigQuery.
• Partner with Account Executives to drive technical wins and with Customer Success to ensure smooth handoffs.
• Share customer feedback and technical patterns with Product and Engineering teams to influence the product roadmap.

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience as a data engineer, analytics engineer, or ETL/ELT developer.
• Proven experience building and operating production data pipelines, including managing schema changes and reliability.
• Strong SQL fundamentals and experience with at least one cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift).
• Experience with orchestration or transformation tools such as Airflow or dbt.
• Exceptional English communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead technical conversations with senior global leaders via video calls.
• A genuine interest in transitioning from pure engineering to a customer-facing technical role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CDC tools or cloud-native integration platforms like AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, or Google Cloud Dataflow.
• Exposure to diverse source systems including CRMs, ad platforms, SaaS APIs, and OLTP databases.
• Public technical writing, conference speaking experience, or open-source contributions.
