Solutions Design Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the solution design of tender responses for warehouse opportunities
• Communicate directly with customers during all stages of the tender process
• Analyse customer requirements, tender documents, and data to assess business development opportunities
• Design warehouse and transport solutions including processes, layouts, equipment, and IT systems
• Develop models to determine resources such as people, equipment, property, and transport
• Prepare profit and loss budgets in conjunction with finance teams
• Prepare tender response documentation and presentations
• Support the implementation of new contracts

Requirements

• Proven track record in a logistics solutions design role with commercial accountability
• Strong analytical and IT skills, specifically advanced Microsoft Excel (macros, pivot tables, lookups)
• Deep understanding of commercial warehouse rates and profit & loss
• Experience with automation technologies in the market
• Ability to communicate confidently with Senior Management and Board Level stakeholders
• Ability to work under pressure to meet critical deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Operational experience in logistics
• Knowledge of industry-recognised simulation and modelling tools such as CAD, CLASS, CAST, or Paragon
