About the role
Responsibilities
- Define and manage technical architecture for customer vehicle integration between Wayve software and OEM/Tier 1 systems
- Translate product requirements and customer needs into actionable technical specifications
- Define and document integration boundaries, ownership models, and interface contracts
- Collaborate with Software Architects to ensure alignment with core architecture
- Coordinate with Validation Engineers to define integration test requirements
- Develop technical documentation including interface specifications, architecture diagrams, and decision records
- Support customer program planning by identifying technical risks, gaps, and dependencies
- Act as a technical bridge between customer programs and internal engineering teams
Requirements
- Experience in technical architecture for ADAS, autonomous driving, or embedded vehicle systems
- Ability to define technical boundaries, ownership models, and interface contracts
- Understanding of vehicle electronics, ECU integration, real-time execution, and diagnostics
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet, SOME/IP, or AUTOSAR)
- Experience working with automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers
- Proven ability to translate product requirements into clear technical specifications
- Strong cross-functional experience across Product, Hardware, Safety, and Validation teams
- Excellent technical communication skills for documentation and reviews
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Experience working as a Tier 1 supplier in the automotive industry
- Knowledge of generative AI, LLMs, and transformer architectures
- Familiarity with end-to-end approaches in autonomous driving
- Hands-on experience with embedded Linux, QNX, Adaptive AUTOSAR, DDS, or SOME/IP
- Experience with sensor integration (cameras, radar, IMU, GNSS, calibration)
