Solutions Architect

Responsibilities

• Own platform reliability, latency, and availability as primary KPIs
• Define SLOs per bank corridor and build observability frameworks
• Act as the primary technical counterpart to bank engineering for API design and architecture reviews
• Build reusable, bank-agnostic integration layers
• Drive internal decisions regarding retry strategies, circuit breakers, and idempotency
• Own the 12–24 month technical roadmap for the RazorpayX banking integration layer
• Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Banking Partnerships, Operations, and Compliance

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of UPI, IMPS, NEFT, and RTGS
• Hands-on experience building and operating bank integrations at scale
• Expertise in Distributed Systems (consistency, idempotency, failure handling)
• Experience with APIs and Event-Driven Architecture (Kafka, queue-based retry)
• Proficiency in Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in payments, banking tech, or fintech
• Experience in platform or infrastructure engineering
• Proven track record of scaling payout infrastructure processing millions of transactions daily
• Strong product thinking and ability to influence without authority
