Solutions Architect

About the Company

Northwood is a modern space infrastructure company bringing the benefits of space to the masses through advanced communications technology. We are building a global network of phased array ground stations that enable real-time, reliable communication for satellite missions such as national security, global connectivity, and disaster response.

Responsibilities

• Translate network-level inputs into concrete product architectures
• Define RF and system-level parameters, including antenna configurations and link performance targets
• Develop and iterate on solution architectures using simulation outputs and link budgets
• Partner with Business Development to shape customer engagements and support proposals
• Drive alignment with Engineering Leadership on system tradeoffs and product roadmaps

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, physics, or mathematics
• 5-10+ years of experience in systems engineering, solutions architecture, or technical product roles
• Working knowledge of RF systems, ground stations, or satellite communications
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Proven ability to operate across hardware, software, network, and operations disciplines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience deploying complex communications or aerospace systems at scale
• Strong understanding of network architecture tradeoffs and system performance analysis
• Experience partnering with customers and engineering teams to shape product direction
