Solutions Architect

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end architecture for the Cell Health Intelligence Platform (CHIP) using AWS services including EKS/ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, and SQS/SNS.
• Define platform-wide patterns for micro-frontends, modular monolith backends, and REST API design.
• Create reference architectures, Terraform templates, and reusable modules to guide engineering teams.
• Architect secure real-time and batch data pipelines using Kinesis, Glue, S3, and AppFlow.
• Establish secure cross-account data access patterns using IAM, Lake Formation, and DataZone.
• Enforce GDPR, PII, and Part 11 security standards across all APIs, data flows, and infrastructure.
• Mentor engineering teams on cloud-native practices, caching, and performance optimization.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Cloud/Solutions Architecture or Senior Engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise in AWS compute, networking, data, and security services.
• Proven experience with distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven designs.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Node.js, along with SQL-based data modeling.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in regulated environments such as GxP, GDPR, or PII.
• Experience with Databricks on AWS and Lakehouse architectures.
• Background in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with Camunda or AI/ML model integration.
