Solution Engineer

Responsibilities

• Present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors
• Work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate value through demos, proof of concepts, and implementation
• Maintain deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve products
• Run training sessions, workshops, and webinars to help customers become proficient
• Create and develop technical champions within accounts to drive adoption
• Represent Snowflake at customer or industry events

Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in customer-facing solution engineering or tech sales
• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• Strong competency in modern data stacks, ETL/ELT, data warehouse/lake, data science, and data apps
• Hands-on expertise with SQL and Python
• Experience working with large global accounts, GSIs, or Global Capability Centers
• Industry experience in BFSI, Manufacturing, Technology, or HCLS domains
• Experience with large-scale database technology (e.g., Netezza, Exadata, Teradata, Greenplum, Hadoop)
• Pre-sales experience in data-related tech products

Preferred Qualifications

• Data Science, AI, or ML experience
• Familiarity with BI and data exploration tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Metabase
• Cloud provider experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Data modeling and data architecture experience
• Experience selling enterprise SaaS software to Global Accounts
