Solution Designer (Google Cloud Platform)

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and delivery of high-priority data platform migrations
• Replatform legacy ETL/ELT logic into a modern, GCP-native ecosystem
• Design end-to-end solutions leveraging BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer
• Develop modular transformation logic using dbt and Python to optimize performance and cost
• Build resilient, idempotent batch and streaming data pipelines with integrated observability
• Manage migration processes including cutover planning, rollback strategies, and risk management
• Navigate enterprise change management processes, including CAB and RFC submissions

Requirements

• Deep hands-on experience with the GCP data stack (BigQuery, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer)
• Mastery of data warehousing principles, including partitioning, clustering, and schema design
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for scripting, automation, and data logic
• Proven experience using dbt for scalable SQL transformations
• Practical knowledge of GCP DevOps tools such as Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, and Cloud Logging

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of GCP networking, including VPCs, Private Service Connect, and Firewall Rules
• Experience implementing security-first frameworks using IAM, Service Accounts, and Secret Manager
• A track record of successful end-to-end legacy-to-cloud or on-prem-to-GCP migrations
