Solution Architect

Responsibilities

• Lead technical strategy on complex enterprise opportunities alongside Sales Engineers
• Run deep technical discovery and architecture workshops with data, security, and AI stakeholders
• Design and build custom prototypes for AI-driven workflows and MCP integrations
• Present Sigma’s architecture and AI runtime story to technical and executive audiences
• Own the technical narrative for RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires
• Advise on integration, migration, and governance across Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, and Redshift
• Position Sigma against competitors like Databricks Genie and Snowflake Cortex Analyst
• Build reusable SA assets including architecture patterns and AI-workflow playbooks
• Partner with Product and Engineering to shape the product roadmap based on field intelligence
• Mentor Sales Engineers and contribute to team playbooks

Requirements

• 8+ years in business intelligence, analytics engineering, or data platform roles
• 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role (SE, SA, or consulting)
• Deep expertise in at least one cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift)
• Strong SQL and modern data architecture knowledge (warehousing, modeling, governance)
• ETL and transformation experience with tools like dbt, Fivetran, or Matillion
• High fluency in modern AI tools and concepts (agents, MCP, context engineering, retrieval)
• Proven track record leading complex enterprise sales cycles
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
• Willingness to travel up to 25%
