Solution Architect - Presales (Cisco)

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end Cisco solutions including Enterprise Networking, Security, SD-WAN, Cloud, and Data Center solutions
• Create High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), and Bill of Quantities (BoQ/BoM)
• Work closely with Sales, Partners, and Customers to understand business and technical requirements
• Prepare and respond to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs, including techno-commercial proposals and compliance matrices
• Conduct solution presentations, product demos, Proof of Concepts (PoCs), and technical walkthroughs
• Coordinate with Professional Services and delivery teams to ensure deployment readiness
• Act as a trusted technical advisor for customers and partners

Requirements

• BE / B.Tech degree in a relevant discipline
• 4–6 years of experience in a Pre-Sales or Solution Engineer role
• Strong networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and ICMP
• Solid understanding of network security, including Firewalls, VPNs, and content filtering
• Experience with Cisco Meraki solutions, Cisco DNA Center (DNAC), ISE, Umbrella, and Duo
• Strong presentation, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNP
• Experience with network monitoring tools like SNMP or ManageEngine
• Basic knowledge of infrastructure services such as AD, DNS, DHCP, and NTP
