Solution Architect - Network Automation

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated network infrastructure solutions that align with modern software engineering practices.
• Implement orchestration and activation designs using industry-standard models and automation tooling.
• Apply workload placement strategies to maximize cloud capabilities, including containerization and serverless architectures.
• Incorporate security principles such as defense in depth and blast radius reduction into all designs.
• Conduct impact assessments regarding risk, capacity, and cost for proposed architectural changes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams and support operational teams with fault finding.

Requirements

• Proven experience in the design and implementation of resource orchestration and activation.
• Proficiency with modeling languages and formats such as YANG, TOSCA, or YAML.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with Microservices architecture and FastAPI.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools like Ansible or Terraform.
• Experience using network automation libraries such as Netmiko or Netconf/Yang.
• Deep understanding of network technology fundamentals and scalable system design.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of DevOps tooling including GitOps, CI/CD, Jenkins, and source control systems.
• Network certifications such as CCNA or equivalent experience in virtualization and infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure services (compute, storage, networking, and IAM).
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
