Solution Architect

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure, and regulatory-compliant solutions for digital payments, wallets, merchant transactions, and lending platforms.
• Translate complex business requirements into detailed technical designs involving cloud architecture, APIs, microservices, and core financial systems.
• Ensure all solutions adhere to industry standards including PCI-DSS, ISO 8583, ISO 20022, and AML/CFT regulations.
• Act as a consultative advisor to banks, fintech operators, and mobile money providers to define use cases and solution scopes.
• Lead technical workshops, prepare architecture documents, and support commercial teams with technical proposals.
• Provide architectural governance during the implementation, integration, and rollout phases of FinTech platforms.
• Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to translate market needs into platform features and architecture patterns.

Requirements

• Deep FinTech domain expertise in digital payments, mobile money, KYC/AML, or transaction processing.
• Strong experience with financial protocols such as ISO 8583 and ISO 20022.
• Proven expertise in API design (REST/JSON, SOAP) and security protocols (OAuth2, JWT).
• Extensive experience in cloud architecture design, microservices, and containerization.
• Strong understanding of financial compliance, risk controls, and settlement processes.
• Excellent consultative, communication, and negotiation skills for customer-facing engagements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI/ML applications in finance, such as fraud detection or credit prediction.
• Knowledge of emerging trends like Open Banking, CBDC, and digital identity frameworks.
• Experience with high-volume transaction throughput modeling and infrastructure capacity planning.
