About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee the implementation of complex Azure-based IT solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain an Azure-focused technology roadmap aligned with long-term organizational goals and O&G industry standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering divisions and business stakeholders to align architectural strategies with core business objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to solution squads to foster an environment of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and assess technical risks related to Azure infrastructure and implement comprehensive mitigation plans.
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party vendor offerings to complement the broader Azure architectural strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology.
  • 10-15+ years of total professional experience.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Solution Architect, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
  • In-depth expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • Proven experience in multi-cloud environments, specifically with AWS and GCP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis for high-level technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or relevant certifications (AZ-900, AZ-305).
  • Experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, or Zachman.
  • Proficiency in automation using Python, Gen AI, or AI Ops.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or AKS.
  • Knowledge of data integration, data warehousing, and big data technologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
