Solution Architect

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex technical solutions for Cards and Payments that align with modern software engineering practices and automated delivery tooling.
• Apply workload placement strategies to maximize cloud capabilities, including elasticity, serverless, and containerization.
• Incorporate security principles such as defense in depth and reduction of blast radius to meet bank resiliency expectations.
• Conduct solution design impact assessments regarding risk, capacity, and cost, including project change and ongoing run costs.
• Develop architecture inputs required for governance processes, including privacy, security, and records management.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to less experienced specialists and collaborate with Business Analysts to produce solution designs.
• Manage and mitigate risks through assessment in support of the control and governance agenda.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with infrastructure and integration across both cloud and on-premise environments at enterprise scale.
• Proven expertise in one or more domains: Physical Security, Threat Intelligence, Insider Threat, Cyber Forensics, or Resilience.
• Strong technical leadership skills with experience managing stakeholders up to CxO-level.
• Deep understanding of associated security best practices for cloud and on-premise systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in Software Engineering or Data Architecture.
• Experience working within Financial Services or a similarly regulated environment.
• Demonstrated appetite for learning new technologies, including AI, Agile, and Automation.
