Solution Architect

Responsibilities

• Advise customers on the technical design, architecture, and implementation of Appian solutions on private cloud or on-premise hosting
• Support the sales cycle by creating high-value, differentiated technical solutions and delivery roadmaps
• Present and vet complex technical concepts and designs to customers and stakeholders
• Support customers on configuration, testing, deployment, and operations using agile methodologies
• Advise on development practices, program management, governance, and DevSecOps/Infrastructure Automation
• Design Appian-based solution architectures for Army modernization initiatives
• Work with Army stakeholders to ensure architectures respect cybersecurity, RMF/ATO, and interoperability constraints
• Support Army-focused capture, proposal, and whitepaper efforts

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience advising on government cloud computing platforms
• At least 10 years of multi-tier application design and architecture experience
• Experience architecting secure cloud solutions using AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Experience authoring federal proposals and whitepapers
• In-depth experience managing federal programs using agile frameworks like Scrum or SAFe
• Ability to obtain a US government public trust and/or DoD clearance (TS/SCI with CI Poly strongly preferred)
• Willingness to travel 10-15% including to SCIFs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience accelerating IT solutions under the federal government’s Risk Management Framework (RMF)
• Experience with DevSecOps pipelines and Infrastructure Automation (Jenkins, Puppet, Ansible, etc.)
• AWS, Google, or Azure Certifications
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Certified Scrum Master or other agile certifications
