Solderer

Responsibilities

• Assemble and solder electronic components to printed circuit boards using Surface Mount and Pin Thru-hole technologies
• Follow assembly procedures, process documentation, and all applicable ISO and job-specific procedures
• Verify the integrity of materials to be assembled and identify/report defective components
• Pre-form component leads according to process documentation
• Maintain accuracy of work-in-process and ensure the cleanliness of the work area and surrounding workspace
• Perform job functions utilizing written procedures, verbal instructions, and visual aids

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• 1+ years of experience in electronics
• Proficiency in soldering skills, including the ability to pass a soldering skills test for lead-free production
• IPC 610 certification and IPC-J-STD certification
• Knowledge of component identification and nomenclature
• Ability to read and follow assembly procedures and process documentation in English
• Basic computer skills and good organizational skills
• Ability to work and communicate effectively in a lean manufacturing team environment
