Solar/BESS Technician

Responsibilities

• Work on utility-scale solar and battery storage systems across the United States
• Perform commissioning, troubleshooting, and electrical repairs on inverters and batteries
• Implement firmware updates and replace modules
• Execute hot and cold commissioning and charging/discharging of Samsung batteries
• Conduct energization, de-energization, and LOTO procedures
• Interpret schematics and blueprints for installations and maintenance
• Complete quality assurance inspections and document deficiencies
• Follow OEM maintenance requirements and industry standards such as NETA MTS and CSA Z463
• Complete daily digital reporting and safety documentation including tailgate meetings and work permits
• Participate in on-call weekend rotation and work overtime as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Electrical and mechanical aptitude with relevant experience
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Ability to lift 75lb and work in adverse weather and extreme temperatures
• Digital literacy with mobile apps and Microsoft Office
• Ability to travel throughout the US
• Willingness to complete a drug test and background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in electrical or mechanical disciplines
• State certified Journeyman license
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)
