Solar/BESS Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on utility, rooftop and energy storage system assets
• Use electrical testing equipment including multimeters, meggers, and thermal imagery
• Interpret schematics and blueprints
• Follow LOTO plans and procedures, including energizing/de-energizing procedures
• Complete maintenance logs, work orders, service reports and safety documentation
• Conduct quality assurance checklists and inspections to document deficiencies
• Participate in on-call weekend services on a rotating schedule
• Maintain site cleanliness and organize spare parts inventory

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years electrical field experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License with suitable driving record
• Ability to lift 34kg (75lb)
• Ability to travel within the designated territory
• Ability to work overtime and on-call rotations

Preferred Qualifications

• 309A Electrical license
• Post-secondary education with an electrical or mechanical base
