About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute programs, procedures, and policies to achieve a safe working environment and perform facility maintenance and repairs
- Complete assigned weekly work orders and assist Lead technician with troubleshooting or work planning
- Conduct preventative maintenance including annual inspections of combiner boxes, inverters, and trackers
- Perform monthly inspections of inverter skids, pad mount transformers, site safety, PPE, and SPCC
- Conduct quarterly substation battery testing and monthly substation component IR scans
- Perform monthly and annual inspections of site equipment, tools, safety material, and site vehicles
- Support on-site tech with tasks on an ad-hoc basis
Requirements
- 1-3 years of general equipment troubleshooting experience (Automotive, HVAC, utility vehicles, or appliances)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in high heat, humidity, or winter weather conditions
- Ability to perform essential physical functions of the job
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Ability to pass a Ready-to-Work physical and drug screen
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in a relevant field or comparable work experience
- Experience in operations and maintenance of solar power plants (modules, trackers, combiner boxes, inverters)
