Solar Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, service, and repair solar PV systems and associated equipment
• Perform corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance on all PV Solar equipment
• Execute routine electrical troubleshooting, instrumentation calibration, and inverter troubleshooting
• Prepare and implement switching and clearance orders in coordination with the Operations Center
• Complete work orders for the preventive maintenance management system
• Ensure all work complies with environmental and safety requirements

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Demonstrable mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge
• Valid state driver’s license and good driving record
• Ability to work overtime, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed
• Proficiency with standard business software
• For Level II: 1+ years of power plant or PV Solar O&M/EPC experience
• For Level III: 4+ years of PV solar experience and knowledge of complex analog/digital instrumentation

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree
• Journeyman certification or equivalent qualifications
