About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist with routine preventive maintenance inspections, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenance of solar equipment including trackers, PV panels, inverters, and transformers
- Perform site inspections for security, fencing, vegetation, and safety-related items
- Assist with drone flights and warranty-related items with manufacturers
- Document safety observations, daily reports, and CMMS work orders
- Respond to scheduled and unscheduled service calls, including nights and weekends
- Follow all company safety policies including lockout/tagout, arc flash, and fall protection
- Maintain company assets such as laptops, tools, and testing equipment
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 0–2 years of experience in solar, electrical, construction, or industrial maintenance preferred
- Basic understanding of electrical safety and hand/power tool use
- Ability to read and interpret site engineering drawings and equipment manuals
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Must live within a 45-minute drive of South Boston, VA
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug testing
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- NFPA 70E
- First AID/CPR
- FAA Part 107 License
- Electrical License
- NABCEP certification
