Solar Electrician/Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and corrective repairs on AC and DC systems, including inverters, PV modules, transformers, and switchgear
• Monitor plant operations through SCADA and contribute to commissioning and testing
• Follow strict safety protocols including Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO)
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and maintain accurate records using CMMS software
• Execute installation tasks including torquing and calibration
• Lead advanced troubleshooting across multiple OEM platforms and develop electrical work plans

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in large-scale solar O&M
• Competency in industrial or utility power operations and troubleshooting
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and operating SCADA systems
• Strong computer skills with CMMS applications
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and walk long distances in varying weather

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrical certifications or industry training
• 4+ years of direct experience in the solar industry
• Advanced knowledge of LOTO procedures and electrical work planning
• Experience with industrial control interfaces
