Solar & Battery Site Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Supervise installation of DC and AC cabling, combiner boxes, inverters, transformers, switchgear, and battery systems
• Ensure electrical works follow approved drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications
• Perform and witness insulation resistance tests, continuity tests, grounding tests, and functional checks
• Support inverter, transformer, protection relay, and battery system commissioning
• Review and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
• Conduct site inspections and raise non-conformance reports (NCRs)
• Follow site HSE rules and conduct toolbox talks related to electrical safety
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for electrical scope
• Report daily progress and technical issues to the Site Manager

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in solar PV or power plant electrical installation
• Knowledge of Philippine Electrical Code and grid interconnection requirements
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and single-line diagrams
• Willingness to work full-time at project site in the Philippines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BESS or medium-voltage systems
