Soil Treatment Technician

Responsibilities

• Receive, weigh, and orient trucks transporting soil to designated unloading zones
• Identify and sample soil lots clearly
• Operate the water treatment unit and ensure the proper functioning of pumping stations
• Conduct environmental monitoring for air and water quality
• Maintain site cleanliness, including the administrative building and snow removal
• Monitor site operations and communicate any discrepancies to the site supervisor
• Assist in the planning and reservation of heavy machinery
• Ensure strict compliance with health and safety (SST) and environmental regulations

Requirements

• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in the field
• Fluency in French (spoken and written); English is an asset
• Ability to work outdoors in various conditions
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
• High level of autonomy and rigor regarding safety protocols

Preferred Qualifications

• DEC in civil or environmental engineering
• Knowledge of landfill operations
