Software Testing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop software that meets business needs
• Design and execute test plans, procedures, and scripts to validate software and system modifications
• Develop testing scripts using programming languages such as C++, C#, Go, Java, Python, SQL, NoSQL, or JavaScript
• Perform automated and manual testing procedures to assess software functionality and performance
• Conduct white box, black box, and gray box testing
• Detect and report bugs, errors, security issues, and coding inconsistencies
• Assess metrics such as user acceptance, scalability, and performance
• Document and maintain test procedures and track software defects using bug tracking systems

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance in Agile/Scrum environments
• 5+ years of experience with one or more programming languages (C++, C#, Go, Java, Python, SQL, NoSQL, or JavaScript)
• 3+ years of experience in software testing methodologies (integration, acceptance, security, and usability testing)
• 3+ years of experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• 3+ years of experience with configuring and running compliance software
• 3+ years of experience with automation and test management tools
• Experience with web services such as SOAP, REST, Parquet, and JSON

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with industry-standard defect/bug tracking tools
• Experience in configuring and running test management tools
• Certification in cloud architecture (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance
