Software Test Engineer Electronics

Responsibilities

• Lead the test strategy and execution for software embedded in semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Act as a technical bridge between Japanese customers and international development teams in Germany and Poland.
• Formulate test plans, designs, and execution strategies based on specific customer requirements.
• Perform integration testing in coordination with customer systems and conduct root cause analysis for defects.
• Conduct verification using PC-based systems, simulators, and actual hardware.
• Communicate technical specifications and test results with overseas development teams.

Requirements

• Native-level Japanese communication skills.
• Proven experience in software testing, covering the full lifecycle from planning to execution.
• Experience with PC-based system verification and testing.
• Ability to communicate technical information in English (emails and meetings).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in embedded software evaluation and testing.
• Proficiency in test automation using Python or similar languages.
• Foundational knowledge of electrical and electronic engineering.
• Experience using measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes.
• Experience in technical negotiations with customers.
