Software Technical Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage software development and integration of routers, radios, and laser communication devices for spacecraft constellations
• Manage suppliers and subcontractors to develop and test integrated systems
• Interface with subcontractors, consultants, and internal engineering teams to maintain roadmaps and product development plans
• Design and develop simulation and test approaches for constellation networking
• Define KPIs for contractors and internal development teams
• Lead agile ceremonies including Increment Planning, stakeholder reviews, and retrospectives
• Develop and maintain software development standards and procedures

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, aerospace engineering, or similar technical discipline
• 8+ years of industry experience
• 3+ years of experience in project management and interfacing with external contractors
• Thorough understanding of network software and the software development lifecycle
• Experience with agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe)
• Experience using Jira
• Experience with systems engineering methods
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Active SECRET or TS/SCI clearance
• Master’s degree in a technical discipline
• Experience with SDA NEBULA architectures
• Experience with Cyber Security controls, encryption, or DevSecOps
• Project management qualifications (PMP, APMP)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project or Smartsheet
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
