Software Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex software systems to meet business and technical requirements.
• Manage resources to complete programming projects and design detailed plans to ensure system functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and project managers, to ensure successful project execution.
• Develop organization-wide architectures and methodologies for software systems design across multiple platforms.
• Identify and evaluate new technologies and innovations to align with the technology roadmap.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members to drive innovation and excellence.
• Review system engineering and validation coverage throughout the program lifecycle.

Requirements

• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of work experience in systems engineering, computer programming, or a related field.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++, JavaScript).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Strong knowledge of Agile Methodology.
• Experience with modern technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Microservices, and APIs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Software Systems Engineer (CSSE).
• Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP).
• Expertise in Full Stack Development and SQL.
• Experience with Linux and automation tools.
