Software Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage GitHub Enterprise Cloud/Server environments with high independence
• Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement technical fixes
• Write and execute testing plans, protocols, and documentation for application architecture
• Create detailed technical documentation including system architecture diagrams and design specifications
• Lead project teams of engineers and development partners to deliver high-quality solutions
• Collaborate with management and partners regarding design status and issue resolution
• Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members
• Support SOX and other compliance tasks, including access reviews and evidence collection

Requirements

• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline
• 4-7 years of work experience in systems engineering, computer programming, or a related field
• Expertise in GitHub Enterprise (Cloud or Server) and Git organization/repository management
• Proficiency with Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform
• Experience with Cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong understanding of Agile methodology and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or SQL

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Software Systems Engineer (CSSE)
• Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)
• Experience with GitHub Actions and microservices architecture
