About the role
Responsibilities
- Rapidly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues in customer environments
- Collaborate with field support engineers to manage escalations and ensure timely resolution
- Collect and analyze system data from field tools to support root cause analysis
- Review and interpret customer specifications to support feature development and customization
- Assist in the design and implementation of small-scale features tailored to customer needs
- Provide online support for host automation and interface-related issues
- Assist customers with software upgrades and qualification of new versions
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages (e.g., C++, C#)
- Ability to read and debug code using IDEs and debugging tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in software troubleshooting and support
- Experience with machine control software for semiconductor equipment
- Experience with Windows and real-time operating systems
- Knowledge of multi-threaded applications, GUI development, or device drivers
- Familiarity with networking, data communications, or EtherCAT
