Software Support Activity Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead all software activities for the Counter-Uncrewed Systems (CUxS) program from design through deployment and sustainment
• Translate customer and system requirements into software architectures and implementation approaches
• Direct and review software development, integration, testing, and deployment activities to ensure quality and compliance
• Provide technical leadership and oversight for software team work products, including code and documentation
• Lead the resolution of software discrepancies by analyzing defects and implementing corrective actions
• Generate and maintain software baseline documentation, including design artifacts and configuration records
• Collaborate with systems and hardware engineering teams to ensure effective software integration with scientific and engineering systems
• Plan and organize software projects, manage resources, and lead multiple efforts through defined development phases

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in software design, development, integration, and testing
• Full SDLC experience, including requirements analysis, design, test, and deployment
• Experience producing and maintaining software technical documentation and configuration-managed baselines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting government or defense-related engineering programs
• Experience integrating software with hardware systems, sensors, or complex engineering platforms
• Prior technical leadership experience directing software engineers across multiple concurrent efforts
