Software Stack/Framework Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the software stack that interfaces with Equal1’s silicon-based QPU
• Build tools, APIs, and frameworks that enable researchers and customers to run quantum programs efficiently
• Collaborate with hardware, algorithms, and control teams to design hybrid classical–quantum workflows
• Optimize middleware, compilers, and library components for performance and reliability
• Contribute to continuous integration, testing, and system-level validation

Requirements

• Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, or similar
• Solid understanding of computer architecture, embedded systems, compilers, or distributed systems
• Curiosity, creativity, and the ability to work across classical and quantum paradigms

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of LLVM / MLIR compiler infrastructure or compilation strategies
• Familiarity with quantum computing concepts such as gate models, qubits, and noise
