Software Quality Operations Specialist, Safety Evaluation

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and consultation to stakeholders to enhance workflows and quality
• Act as a subject matter expert for Software Quality Operations, ensuring adoption of AI/ML advancements
• Design and implement quality control processes for human and AI-generated outputs
• Partner with Engineering to design, test, and deploy ML and Generative AI models and tools
• Leverage AI-powered insights to identify emerging on-road issue trends and edge cases
• Define and document new policies, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Scale workflows from 16/5 to 24/7 by coordinating with external stakeholders and vendor teams

Requirements

• BS/BA degree
• 4 years of relevant work experience in QC or AV Software Quality Operations
• Strong understanding of driving rules, regulations, and kinematic principles
• Competency in supporting machine learning development lifecycle phases
• Ability to learn proprietary tools quickly
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced, high-stress environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to drive outcomes and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience assessing AV safety performance
• Experience working with offshore teams or multiple local operations hubs
• Competency in LLM, transformer models, or ML for robotics
• Basic SQL querying and plx coding experience
• Experience with ML testing, validation, bias detection, and statistical performance evaluation
